Headmaster’s Welcome

Mark Crewe-ReadWelcome to Castle House School, where we believe that education is about all aspects of a child’s development and where individuals can thrive.

Our mission statement emphasises the importance of happiness, acknowledging that a happy child is ready to learn, whether that is in the classroom or participating in the many extra-curricular opportunities that are available to enrich the educational experience. We expect a lot from the children: that their scope for achievement is unlimited, that they should learn to be self-disciplined and that they should develop responsible attitudes. In the context of a caring community, with a background of Christian faith and values, and in which kindness and tolerance to others are highlighted, we believe the children will be truly happiest responding to these expectations.

Every child is unique and the wealth of experiences available give the pupils the chance to find their own niche, enabling them to grow in confidence and flourish with each success. Caring and meaningful relationships are key to these achievements and our most recent inspection report praised “the excellent quality of pastoral care” and “the high levels of mutual respect between pupils and staff.”

Castle House is a very special place and I would encourage you to come and visit us, and experience what makes the school so unique. I would be delighted to show you around.
