Castle House School Trust Ltd is a non-profit making charity, set up to purchase the school in 1980 from the founder Miss Pitchford.

The members of the Trust are professional and business people drawn from the locality, many with a connection with the school either as parent or pupil at some time.

Up to twelve of the members are Governors of the school.

The Governing Body has a broad cross-section of skills, knowledge and professional experience. It includes current parents. The Governors serve for four years after which they can be re-elected at the Trust’s AGM.

The Trust’s accounts are audited each year and presented to the Charities Commission.

The Trust seeks to reinvest any surplus monies for the benefit of the school.

The Governing Body has four main meetings a year.

Its F&GP (Finance and General Purposes) Committee and its Development Committee meet between full Governors’ meetings. There are other committees which meet as required.

The current governors are very committed to the forward development of the school and seek to make continuous improvement.
