Our approach to 11+ Here at Haberdashers' Castle House we recognise pressures that are placed on young people and their families to pass the 11+ exam which they sit at the start of Year 6. There is no right or wrong formula to this and we would certainly advise away for 'over tutoring' children to simply pass an exam. Our approach is simple. Familiarity is key. Children that understand the format, process and expectations of examinations from an early age will stand a far greater chance of achieving their goals. The Friends of Haberdashers' Castle House Hello, The Friends of Haberdashers' Castle House School (FoHCHS) brings together parents and staff of the Prep School and Nursery School to organise events. In recent years, the activities of the FoHCHS have raised funds to purchase equipment for the school that enrich and enhance the experience of every child. The FoHCHS is about so much more than fundraising. We are very fortunate to have an excellent team of volunteers that work hard to run stimulating, fun events that continually entertain our school community. Parents, Teachers and Friends come together to welcome in the most magical season of the year!” Movie Night “All children love a sleepover. So what better than a movie night, in your school with all of your friends! Not quite a sleepover but a much loved, child-centred event.” Meet The Friends All parents are members of the Friends of Haberdashers Castle House School. But membership is not limited to current parents. Anyone with a link to the school, past or present, is welcome to join in. We do however have a small team of committee members who work tirelessly to bring all of our events to life.
